Lady Dignity

This is my first attempt at making *abstract* art. I used Cray-Pas Oil Pastels. I just made a rough sketch of the body (didn't care about proportion or how anatomically correct it would look) and picked pink because it's the most feminine color around (besides the fact that it's one of my favorite colors and that it goes well with blue!). I thought the left side was too empty and I couldn't think of anything to put on there. Thought of stars and maybe some abstract lines. I settled for a bubble instead cause it can have some symbolic meaning than most people think.

Some people just live in a bubble. If you're not in the bubble, you're considered a rebel, a castaway. You break one rule and you're out. They think right and wrong as black and white, there's no fine line in between. But there she is all bare and beautiful, serene and calm, relaxing like she's out in the beach trying to catch some rays.

I guess that's why I called this Dignity. Cause the bubble-people can look at her from top to bottom, judge her for her mistakes, disapprove of her... and yet she can look them in the eye and say, "hey take it or leave it! I'm here and I'll do what I want."
