Such Ballsy Days as These...

Yesterday, I had a long day at work and a massive argument with a coworker (which ended with me in tears). I was tired cranky and still fuming when I got home last night so I chilled in front of the computer and just looked at inspirations online. When I got sick of looking around for stuff, I started on "First Steps". This is what I started with:

It didn't look too bad, but I don't think I like the Bienfang Raritan Drawing Pad all that much. The Rembrandt Pastels doesn't seem to want to stick to the damn paper. Probably my fault. I knew it was too smooth, but hey, that's just me trying to be adventurous.Maybe this picture was meant to be acrylic or watercolor instead of pastel. I don't know. I will try to finish this some other day though.

I woke up with a REALLY bad headache (which took 2 aspirins and an Excedrin migraine to get rid of) and we went to run errands. When the day was almost over, we headed to Viet Hoa, this massive Asian supermarket on steroids. I rarely go there (it's in a crazy part of town, not to mention I get lost in that area) so when I proposed we go today and my boyfriend said yes, I was like YAAAAAY!

We pretty much spent $30 on foods, not too bad in my opinion. Most of them are ingredients for Lumpia, the Filipino version of spring rolls. Wrappers, baby carrots (oh they are soo sweet an yummy!!!). Then I picked up some fish and lobster balls (saying this makes me laugh EVERY time, I can't help myself!!!) and Mochiko (sweet rice flour) which I am going to use for Mochi Balls and Mochiko Chicken some day...

I wasn't going to go and watch a movie with our friend, Steve, tonight but I don't see him often enough and well I figured I REALLY needed a laugh. I don't usually go for MTV Movies but Jackass 3D... is a different kind of artform... in stupidity-form mostly but it was so dang funny. I think I lost about a good third of my IQ, but it was worth it. I needed a stress-reliever after such a long day.
