*SIGH* Two of the shocks to my car are shut. *SIGH* Every Christmas, something comes up. Last year it was the tires, the year before I think was the alignment. Tis the season... for someone in the auto business to squeeze money from us. I think it's gonna cost about $400... shoot me.
On slightly a happier note.. Tuesday Morning said I am starting my new job next week, if they get the hours they requested from the los quesos grandes (AKA the big bosses. HAHA!). I'm excited and a little scared at the same time. I haven't been in a retail setting for more than two years now (restaurant is different!) but I am sure it's like riding a bicycle. I'm a little concerned I am going to be piss-tired most of the time when I get home. Working retail + holiday = hell on earth, after all.
And the icing on the cake... There's a solo exhibition today by Joanna Purvis and I can't wait to go! I was impressed by her Butterfly painting (which was auctioned with the proceeds going to the Leukemia Society). I hope our friends go as well (it's a block away from their house!) because I am bringing in some of my art as well. I want to show them and the gallery, and I am crossing my fingers that someone will like what I made. I am gathering them all in a portfolio after I write this. Wish me luck!!!
